It has been my pleasure to watch and review three films from the Africa In Motion Festival currently running in Edinburgh.
SELBE was a 32 minute documentary on the life of a Senegalese woman struggling to make ends meet amid drought and poor economic prostpects.
LA NOUBA was more of an Arthouse offering blending narrative and reconstructions to give expression to the lives of Algerian women after the War of Independence.
GREEN ALERT was a documentary recording the efforts of Cambodian villagers to preserve the natural resources around them in exchange for basic necessities.
