Darling ones,
another fabulous FREE seminar courtesy of those nice people at Flamin and Own-it:
* FLAMIN Seminar: Music Rights for Moving Image Work *
On Thursday 27 November (6pm-9pm) FLAMIN and Own-it present How To Clear Music Rights for Moving Image Work, a free workshop addressing issues around the use of music and sound in artists' moving image work.
This event will focus on how music and sound can be used legally; where can you go if you don't know the author of the piece of music or the musician playing the piece you have selected for your work; the steps you need to take if you want to commission a composer or orchestra to record the music for your film; and the clearance requirements of different exhibition platforms – gallery, cinema, broadcast, etc.
Speakers will include artist film-maker Miranda Pennell, Solicitor Anne Crompton (from Music Group, Harbottle & Lewis LLP) and Joyce Cronin, Gallery Manager (Exhibitions), Matt's Gallery.
Visit the Own-it website for more information and to book a place.
