Darling ones,

I am researching interiors from different eras and just wondered if anyone could recommend websites, books etc that have great images of 50s and 70s interior design.

This is for an animation I am producing.

I remember the 70s being almost entirely brown with all that wasn’t brown being orange. Which sounds like the view from inside a Jaffa Cake but in reality the feeling was much more lavatorial.

Arf! I remember the back room being wallpapered with maroon and gold flock and people's carpets being autumnal swirls that made you feel a bit nauseous.

Nauseous is a great word to describe how it felt to live with all those clashing pattens in the average 70s house.

Yes! It was a total curry house vibe! I grew up in Birmingham, the home of the balti. Interesting that the seventies have been re-invented a bit. Much more tasteful than I remember.
